Engage in immersive experiences that challenge perspective and build trust
The heart of the program is a 3-day immersive retreat, supported by intentional touchpoints throughout the semester — including a pre-retreat kickoff, a community-building experience, an executive leadership fireside chat, and a closing celebration.

Pre-Retreat Kickoff: Saturday, February 21, 2026
Overnight Leadership Retreat: March 6–8, 2026
Community Building Experience: Saturday, March 28, 2026
Executive Leadership Fireside Chat: Held during the week of April 13–17, 2026
Closing Celebration: Saturday, May 2, 2026
Who Should Apply
Gear Up to Lead is for students who:
Are open to self-reflection and personal growth
Want to better understand themselves and others
Are willing to engage honestly in group spaces
Show curiosity, courage, and commitment — not “perfect leadership skills”
No prior leadership experience is required.
Cohort Size
This leadership experience is intentionally designed as a cohort journey, and full participation is required at all program dates. To ensure a strong and committed cohort experience, applicants will take part in a short interview process prior to selection.
Participation is limited to 35 total participants, including returning leaders, alumni, and staff mentors.
